31 Jul Steel Branding Named Mentor for Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Program
AUSTIN, Texas (July 31, 2015) – Steel Branding proudly announces its selection as a mentor in the Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Mentor Protégé Program. Steel Branding will mentor the Urban Circle LLC, a Houston-based full-service promotional advertising company.
The objective of the Mentor Protégé Program is to provide professional guidance and support to the HUB to promote their growth and development. Selected businesses work together to increase the ability for the HUB to contract with government business within the state.
Steel Branding, a communications firm focused on marketing to the family, began its journey as a HUB over 5 years ago. The agency is particularly excited about the opportunity to help grow a fellow small business with the tools it has developed over the years.
“Urban Circle is excited to partner with Steel Branding to learn about how to grow in the government space,” said Brown Henderson, president of Urban Circle. “Steel Branding has experience growing as a HUB and gaining government clientele, so we are looking forward to any advice they have to offer as we embark on our growth journey.”
As a mentor, Steel Branding will provide Urban Circle with the following tools:
- Financial processes, procedures, and best practices
- Project management processes, procedures, and best practices
- Business development strategies such as: proposals, pricing, network, lead generation activities, and more
“We are extremely honored to be selected as mentor in this program,” said Kirsten Cutshall, president of Steel Branding. “Government is at the core of our business and we are excited to grow in that space with Brown and his team.”
